Gandhar! The 3rd note in the melodious garland of Indian swaras has sky as its element. Sky connotes space, calm and serenity. A quaint village by the sea: Thal is located 60 minutes away from the Gateway of India towards Mandwa Jetty.
Day - 01 Pick up from the Airport / Hotel / Railway StationAnd transfer to the Gateway of India to take the boat for Mandwa Jetty (01 Hour Boat Ride ). The catamaran leaves the Gateway at 0830 hrs onwards until 1530 hrs. Reach Mandwa Jetty, on alighting at the Mandwa jetty, transferred to the retreat place by Auto (06 Seater). This is an experience in itself to enjoy the beauty of this place uninterrupted.
On arrival at the bungalow, traditional welcome and registration. The bungalow is a complete eco lodge. There are 4 rooms with attached toilet bath and a central lounge area. You will be served with tea/ coffee and snacks. You can just relax in the lounge area. Pick your own vegetables.
Today's lunch will be organised on an island opposite to the village. You will have to take a ferry and go to the island. Our coordinator will arrange for the ferry and escort you to the island. Explore. Relax. Have an outdoors lunch. Spend some time on the island. Return back to the Eco lodge by 1600 hrs. and tea will be served. You have the option of having a foot and head massage from the local masseurs OR have the choice of enjoying the cinema at the local village cinema hall. Evening dinner will be at the lodge.
Day - 02 Early morning riseYou can take the boat and visit the Mandwa fort. Post breakfast, set on foot to explore the village. Thal is a small, peaceful village. You can walk to the Gram Panchayat, interact with the sarpanch. Later visit the market.. Lunch will be at the eco lodge. Post a small siesta and your afternoon tea, head back to the jetty to take the catamaran back to Mumbai.
